After her sister’s passing, Lavinia wants to break through her family’s instinctive response to keep grief quiet. When she travels from Italy to Albania to research a chapter in her family history, her journey becomes a way to give grief space, to bridge the gap between the living and the dead, and to keep talking to her sister.
